Alan Buck is currently the Chief Marketing Officer at L’Oréal South Africa, most of his day is dedicated to assembling his jigsaw puzzle of media strategies connected to digital marketing plans linking to ecommerce activations that are validated by consumer research studies and housed within brand marketing plans…occasionally he also gets some work done.
He joined L’Oréal South Africa in 2015 with over 10 years of experience heading Media and Digital first in a media agency before moving onto Distell & then Reckitt Benckiser. He has been instrumental in driving significant e-commerce growth for the group as well as implementing and modernising the groups marketing tools.
The Digitalisation wave has created new paradigms with Social Media and websites becoming not just a communication tool from brands to consumers but also a feedback mechanism through which consumers interact with brands. Alan’s main purpose has been helping to grow brands and markets by strategically capitalising on the digital opportunities available and integrating these into organisational practices.
